I remember when I was a little girl that I had an endless amount of faith in journalism. If the papers told me I needed to be worried about something, I wouldn't sleep that night, because why would they try to frighten me if it wasn't true? Now that I'm older (and have become a petulant, cynical and opinionated little witch) I know that fear sells, as does sex and conflict. Not that those things aren't out there, but today it just seems that the quiet voice of reason keeps getting overshouted by headlines that scream that the world is out to destroy us. I'm glad that funny manboy Russel Howard agrees, otherwise we would never have had this clip.
